There are two right hands and a pair of hands. All of them grey. They are casts of the hands of the artist mounted on wood pieces. One of them you can turn- the pointy finger, you can turn it.
We used to work together, we were giving tour in a monographic museum of an artist who uses hand as a signifier for generosity and help. Certainly, but Amelie’s hands also point out and frame, manipulate and direct the view.
Those echo Amelie’s fascination for lenses which allows her to ponder from which point of view you look at thing and what directs your gaze.
